Well I've bagged all the Mons. Hawes churches, seen all the everlastings that can be seen, almost grown tired of photographing Splendid Fairy Wrens (not really).
What else is a bloke to do to keep himself amused?
How about climbing all the granite monoliths in this area? There are some beauties.
First up is Berringbooding Rock, where the early settlers devised a scheme of using the rock as a water catchment.

Next up was Elachbutting Hill which is even bigger. I decided to camp for the night in the campsite at the foot of the rock. Enid Blyton would approve - it has a real-life functioning tunnel (as featured in 'Five Go To Elachbutting Hill', the little-known 22nd book in the series).
