In the Gorge

This morning I cruised up the Gorge to Amphitheatre and back. Amphitheatre is a side gorge that has been hollowed out by the elements. Enclosed apart from a narrow entrance and open to the sky.

I tried to beat the rush and luckily I had it to myself for half an hour or so. Very quiet and peaceful.
The sky was getting very dark when I got back to camp.  Then down came the rain!
