46. Best laid plans
I won't take the easy road ...
Try to keep on keeping on.
I slept very soundly in the middle of nowhere, despite two trucks also pulling into the rest area. I didn't hear them until they left, by which time it was time to get up anyway.
On the road early heading for Dingo. My plan was to head up into the Blackdown Tablelands National Park for a look around and hopefully find a campsite for a night or two. Unfortunately the Park is closed due to a bushfire currently burning.
Instead, I decided to head down to Carnarvon Gorge. I loved it last time I was here so we'll see if it's still as good. I took the turnoff to Rolleston from Blackwater, just as First Aid Kit came up on my playlist. What does it mean?
Nothing it seems...
I made it safely to Carnarvon Gorge without any problems.
Set myself up at Takarakka Bush Resort in a nice secluded corner, after a bit of arguing with Reception who didn't seem to think that I'd be able to get my van in there. It was a bit tight, I must say.
