45. Middle of nowhere, (Middlemount)
Wild and woolly and full of fleas
they came to the Nebo pub
Lake Elphinstone was indeed a good spot. Heaps of birdlife. I counted about 20 species from where I was sitting alongside the van without really trying. Nice and quiet too.
Continued on through Nebo and Middlemount (another mining town).
There's massive amounts of mining, mainly coal, through here.
Finally I pulled into a rest area in the middle of nowhere, about 50kms south of Middlemount and slept like a baby.
I'm heading out of phone range now for a few days.
