34. Wongaling Beach
Departed Fishery Falls heading south down the Bruce Hwy. Pretty grey, drizzly day.
Took the backroads through sugar cane country. Stopped at South Johnstone (sounds and feels like it should be in Mississippi). It's one of those towns where the cane trains still trundle down the main street.
Next stop Paronella Park on Mena Creek. Still slowly crumbling away into the jungle.
Then on to Wongaling Beach, looking out to Dunk Island.
