Day 76, Alford
Another misty morning at Mount Remarkable with the peaks disappearing into the clouds.
Packed up and headed towards Yorke Peninsula via Port Germein.
I've never been to Port Germein before. It's got one of the longest jetties I've ever seen - about 1.5 kms. It's hard to see the far end - it just converges into a point. I walked out to the end and back.
The Sunday Market was in full swing in the old goods shed. I bought a couple of DVDs and a novel, for the sum of $4.50. I like Port Germein!
Continued on via Port Pirie and Port Broughton, both good old places with plenty of character.
I've stopped for the night at Alford, which allows travellers to camp for free at the recreation reserve. It's nice and sheltered from the everpresent wind.
I'd planned on going a little further tonight but when I got here I asked myself, "Can I be bothered?"
The answer was No.
