Day 66, Penong

Cook Road turned out to be a great little camp - very quiet and peaceful.
Yesterday I was up at 4:00am.  Today I slept in until 6:30am. Of course it's the same time. Yesterday was WST and today is CDT.  It was a bit strange the last few days in WA. I was waking up at 3:30 am because that was when it was getting light.
Headed for Nullarbor Roadhouse, 44kms to the east.  Finally hit the classic Nullarbor Plain about 15kms west of the Roadhouse.
Nullarbor Plain
I'd previously been as far west as Nullarbor Roadhouse coming from the opposite direction and I had the mistaken impression that the flat, treeless plain must extend all the way across.  In fact it only covers about 50kms.  All the rest is not terribly flat and quite arboreal.  Makes for a more interesting journey though.
Had a shower at the roadhouse and took advantage of some good mobile reception before heading on my way and bidding farewell to The Nullarbor.
I'm camped for the night in some scrub about 15kms west of Penong.
