Day 28, Derby

And another hot day today (38°).
I made it back to the coast again today and the moderating influence of the ocean was immediately apparent.  A refreshing breeze was powering in from the Timor Sea and down King Sound.  It wasn't exactly cool but it was keeping the coast a couple of degrees cooler than the interior.
Derby has one of the greatest tidal ranges in Australia.  I had a look at the wharf at high tide and treated myself to a takeaway curry at The Wharf restaurant.
Derby seems an OK sort of a place.  I didn't really like it 24 years ago but there seems to be more pride in the place now.
