Day 18, Darwin
Today I did the tourist thing. Drove around and around and up and down in order to get a feel for the place. Mindil Beach, Fannie Bay, East Point, Cullen Bay, The Waterfront.

Initial impressions: lots of shady parks and open spaces. Doesn't feel like a big city (probably because it's not - Townsville has more people). Easy to get around. Lots of modern buildings.
Not sure about Parliament House -- it's certainly more impressive in the flesh than in photos that I've seen.

Saw another great sunset. Darwin is renowned for them.
