Day 14, Tennant Creek
The Road goes ever on and on, ...
(Tolkien)
Another very hot day (39°).
I cruised along quite smoothly apart from one place where there was a supposed controlled burn. As I went past it seemed to become more of an uncontrolled burn. It got quite hairy as I went through and I really think that they should've closed the highway. I was very glad to emerge unscathed out the other side.
I dropped in for a look at the Devil's Marbles but didn't stay long because the heat and the sun were blistering and blazing.
I'd had enough by the time I got to Tennant Creek. The caravan park supervisor found me a spot with a little bit of shade and I retired to the pool.
