Day 36, Lake Moogerah to Coraki

Woke to a beautiful calm morning with clouds hanging around the mountains overlooking the lake.  For a minute I almost thought that I was in NZ.
Early morning, Lake Moogerah
Lake Moogerah has been one of the great finds of the trip so far.  It's in an area known as the Scenic Rim, because of the crescent shaped sweep of mountains that forms the backdrop, including some of the tallest mountains in Qld.  The country is just superb. Lush green valleys surrounded by tall mountains disappearing into the clouds.
Scenic Rim
I took the road to Kyogle via Mt Alford and Rathdowney.  It's one of the best drives of this trip.  Lots of slow, winding road with patches of rainforest and staggering views.  Unfortunately it's very hard to stop and take a good photo, so here's a not-so-good one.
Somewhere along the Mt Lindesay Hwy
Got hit by a couple of short, sharp, tropical storms around Kyogle -- lightning, thunder, massive raindrops -- then the sun came out again.
Turned left for the coast at Casino.
Coraki is on the Richmond River about 20kms inland.  Can feel a nice cool sea breeze.
By the way -- I'm in NSW now.
