Day 35, Mapleton to Lake Moogerah

Today I was trying to edge my way around Brisbane without getting too far away from the coast but trying too avoid suburbia.
Headed off from Mapleton through Montville, Maleny, Landsborough, Beerwah, Peachester to Kilcoy.  Very pleasant, hilly country with winding roads and great views.  Unfortunately very smoky, apparently from a planned burn.
Smoky Glasshouse Mountains
Turned off to Lake Somerset, Esk, Lake Wivenhoe and then back on the motorway into Ipswich.  Had a powernap in Ipswich and then started googling nearby camping grounds. Lake Moogerah looked interesting so I headed that way via Boonah.  It's surrounded by mountains in almost every direction.
Positioned myself down by the water's edge.  A sudden tropical downpour swept through before I had a chance to set up.
Approaching storm, Lake Moogerah

Later, when the storm had passed and I had set up camp, I was sitting on the edge of the lake, having a quiet cider, thinking to myself 'That was a pretty successful day's travel'.
