Day 15, Eidsvold to Moura
Today I decided to head for Carnarvon Gorge. It's 250 kms or so inland from where I was going to be so it seemed crazy not to.
From Eidsvold, I took the road less travelled up through Abercorn to Monto, then back on the highway to Biloela.
Yesterday I seemed to be taking lots of photos of pubs. Today it was churches. Abercorn, which is tiny - only about 5 houses - has 3 churches. One of them could best be described as a renovator's dream.
From Biloela I struck out west for Carnarvon Gorge. Stopped for the night in Moura Caravan Park which is full of hi-vis workers from the Moura coal mine.
Tomorrow I'll head into Carnarvon Gorge where I'm planning to stay for 4 nights.
